37th Annual Conference
Each year, IDRS sponsors an international conference. The conference is a five-day event that includes concerts, recitals, master classes and workshops presented by leading double reed artists and pedagogues from around the globe.
In 2008 the International Double Reed Society Conference will be held at Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah.

Join Us
Come join with us at Brigham Young University as we host the 37th annual International Double Reed Society Conference. Located in Provo, Utah, a city of 111,000 residents at the base of the Wasatch Mountains, BYU is a private university with more than 28,000 students.
Nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountain Wasatch Range, Provo offers a wide variety of cultural and recreational opportunities, ranging from world class museums to beautiful hiking trails.
Conference activities will take place in the Harris Fine Arts Center, home of the BYU School of Music, as well as in the Wilkinson Student Center and the BYU Conference Center.
Airport Shuttle Service
Located about 50 miles south of Salt Lake City off Interstate 15, Provo is easily accessible by car. Shuttle service is available to and from the Salt Lake City International Airport through
Express Shuttle (www.expressshuttle.com; (800) 397-0773).
Parking
Free conference parking will be available in Lot 20, west of the BYU Conference Center. This is the location where the reading sessions will be held.

Shuttle from Parking Lot to Conference Venues
Shuttle service will be available during conference hours between the Conference Center parking lot and the Harris Fine Arts Center and the Wilkinson Student Center where conference sessions will be held. The van driver’sphone number is (801) 360–1210. All conference venues and on–campus housing are within a ten–minute walking distance from the parking lot.
Evening Parking
For the evening events, you may park east of the Law School in Lot 26 (after 4:00 p.m.), northeast of the Museum of Art in Lot 2 (after 7:00 p.m.) or north of the Wilkinson Student Center in Lot 3 (after 7:00 p.m.).
Shuttles from Hotels to Conference Venues
Shuttle service will be provided between the BYU campus and the Provo Marriott Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott, Best Western Cottontree Inn, Days Inn, Super 8 Motel from 7:30 a.m. to the end of the evening events each day. No shuttles are available between campus and other area hotels.

Campus Housing Check–in
Monday, July 21, after 3:00 p.m.
Heritage Central Building (north of J. Reuben Clark Law School). On–campus housing residents should park in the “C” lots adjoining the residence halls.
Conference Check–in
Tuesday, July 22, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

An information desk will be available at this location throughout the conference. On July 23–26, we will open at 8:30 a.m. Walk–on registration for the conference will be available throughout the conference.
