If you are college bound, then Summer Scholars is designed for you.  A week-long summer camp to see first-hand what makes BYU different than any other university. It is a chance for you to develop your interests, explore your options, and to live on campus as a BYU student. Summer Scholars is also about fascinating class discussions, motivating devotionals, exploring a beautiful campus, fantastic evening activities and hanging out with a group of new friends and counselors that share your values.

As a participant of Summer Scholars you will attend one core class of your choice each day and have opportunities to attend afternoon workshops that that may include writing, stress management, survival study techniques and other topics.  You will also have a chance to meet with admissions officers and advisors.

To make your stay a true BYU experience, we include devotionals, an incredible fireside, scripture feasts with your counselors, and faith-building discussions with excellent faculty.  Past participants and counselors have told us that these late-night informal discussions on faith have been some of their favorite parts of Summer Scholars.

Summer Scholars is also about having fun!  Superior classes are the standard, but we know that fun activities and great friends are what it’s all about. So we’ve planned some great events that may include a visit to Salt Lake City's Temple Square, late night pajama party, a dance, final banquet, and a closing party.
