2nd Annual Symposium and TRESOL Teacher Celebration
June 10 and 11, 2010
The David O. McKay School of Education, Center for the Improvement of Teacher Education & Schooling, College of Humanities, Wheatley Institution and Brigham Young University-Public School Partnership are pleased to sponsor the second annual English Language Learners Symposium, highlighting the capacities and potentials of students who are learning English and their families. This year the symposium will focus on the individuals’ and families’ funds of knowledge: accumulated knowledge and competence that they gain from their culture and daily experiences which support their learning, behavior, and community engagement.
