Software Development Service Blunders You Never Want to Commit

Many people can make their own websites, but a far fewer number have any good idea of what goes into professional web design. If you know what web design mistakes to avoid, then your efforts will be that much more satisfying.

Flash is an application that really has very limited positive uses for the average visitor. These days you will still see it used, but it is used by very few sites and in limited amounts. Flash can really slow down the site, and if the user’s computer is not up to date, it will just be a bad scene. Of course, there are valid applications for flash, but you have to optimize properly and make sure it does not adversely impact browser load times, etc. One kind of slick thing you can implement is allowing your visitors to view a page, or pages, without the flash features.

If you look around, you’ll find that the majority of the big websites have one thing in common – clean URL structures. Years ago these were much more common, but now marketers are much more aware of avoiding it. However, you still do find sites today that don’t really care about their URLs, which is a mistake.

There is nothing wrong with using your primary keywords, though, if you want to SEO your site. Then there is the issue of branding the URL or otherwise having the benefit of readability. Many people tend to have problems copying and pasting complex URLs because even missing one single digit can lead to a broken link. WordPress blogs have their own little app included that allows you to change the permalink structure of your URLs.

Another very tricky and usually ‘bad idea’ area is requiring your readers to register for anything just to read your content, or whatever. If you really feel that registration is required on your website, only then should you go for it, or else things may work against you and you may lose a visitor who could have become loyal to your site. Of course hopefully you know that people will really not like being auto subscribed to anything. Things like that will be viewed in a highly negative light, and they will probably complain to somebody. You could run afoul of the law as it may concern spam violations, etc. No question, we are just getting going with all that can be acknowledged about www.esavv.com.

We understand that some people may not agree with what someone else considers a design mistake.
